Health Fitness Revolution Team Helping Harvey Relief Efforts

One of the Health Fitness Revolution Jeeps at the Houston Foodbank so the team can volunteer!

It’s been a rough week for those of us in Houston. Tropical storm Harvey mercilessly dumped more than 50 inches of rain on our city. More than any storm ever in the continental US! Last night, Houston’s mayor Turner imposed a curfew to cut down on looting and keep drivers off the roads. Today, rescue workers are still responding to emergency calls. They’ve saved more than 13,000 people in the Houston area so far (thank you to all the volunteer rescuers and first responders!) At least 20 people have been killed, and the death toll is likely to rise.

There is an estimated 30,000 displaced and needing shelter within the Houston area which is why the Health Fitness Revolution team has been busy volunteering and helping the community in any way we can. Here’s what we’ve been up to:

Carrying pillow donations to a shelter
Clothing and sock donations

An earlier rescue done by Samir in his Jeep that made it through these high waters to get someone to safety
