Remembering Srebrenica Genocide

Thousands of people gathered in the Bosnian town of Srebrenica to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of Europe’s worst atrocity since the Second World War when more than 8,000 Bosniaks, mainly men and boys, were killed during the Bosnian War.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) ruled that the mass execution of Bosniak men and boys in Srebrenica constituted genocide.

“The Srebrenica Memorial will help keep alive the memory of those that perished in the awful event. It is important to keep their memory alive so as to prevent future tragedies like this from occurring in Bosnia and elsewhere in the world” says Samir Becic the founder of Health Fitness Revolution.
