Samir Becic to attend 20-yr Srebrenica Memorial

Samir Becic will attend the 20th anniversary commemoration of the genocide that took place in Srebrenica, Bosnia in July 1995, when more than 8,000 Bosniaks, mainly men and boys, were killed in and around the town of Srebrenica during the Bosnian War. The Srebrenica Memorial will help keep alive the memory of those that perished in the awful event. Samir says it is important to keep their memory alive so as to prevent future tragedies like this from occuring in Bosnia and elsewhere in the world.

Srebrenica Memorial Reminds Us Of Balkan Pain

This July 11th, marks the 20-year memorial for this tragic event, which will bring together many world leaders and celebrities to pay their respects to the lives lost. Over 100,000 people are expected to attend the event next weekend. The Balkans continues to mourn this event and will not forget the lives of those lost in the terrible conflict of the 1990s.

Samir, along with other notable figures including Bill Clinton, Angela Merkel, Angelina Jolie, and many others were invited to attend by the Bosnian government and will be honoring the lives lost by traveling to Srebrenica.
