Top 10 Fittest Canadian Celebrities 2016

From movie stars like Ryan Gosling to the musical stylings of Drake and Celine Dion, America’s northern neighbor is home to celebs known around the world. And despite decadent Canadian dishes like poutine and long winters spent indoors, many of these famous celebrities stay in great shape and promote a healthy lifestyle. Maybe that is part of the reason why Canada has a slight edge over America for being the healthiest country in North America!

We researched this list by looking through hundreds of Canadian celebrities, before narrowing down our results to the to 100, 50, and then 25. With the expertise of Samir Becic, the 4x “#1 Fitness Trainer in the World,” we narrowed it down the to the top 10 fittest Canadian celebrities of 2016:

Justin Trudeau, 43- Prime Minister Canada

“BOXING IS AS MUCH ABOUT RECEIVING HITS AS GIVING THEM”
  • In 2012, as a Member of Parliament, he took on conservative Canadian Senator Patrick Brazeau in a three-round match for charity. The heavier Brazeau, was a 3-1 favorite in Canadian media thanks to his military and martial arts background. But Trudeau, with his longer reach and greater stamina, claimed a technical knock out in the third round (there’s a video)
  • Trudeau has trained with boxing workouts for years and was even taking in weekly sessions during the recent campaign
  • Boxes once a week as a stress reliever

  • Climbed the demanding Grouse Grind outside Vancouver. Supporters and journalists were left behind as Trudeau sped to the top of the 853-metre peak. He logged an impressive time of 54 minutes, while most amateurs are lucky to do it in 90 minutes
