In a recent announcement, national organization HealthCorps, founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz and his wife Lisa, have supported and partnered with the Lakewood Church Total Life Challenge 2015, which was created by HFR founder Samir Becic in 2011. HealthCorps president Michelle Bouchard took part in the challenge and lost a significant amount of weight. HealthCorps was doing cooking demos and motivating the congregation of Lakewood to live a healthy lifestyle.

HealthCorps is an American non-profit organization that responds to the obesity crisis through school-based health education and peer-mentoring in addition to community outreach to underserved populations.

According to Becic, Michelle Bouchard is a very determined, worldly and dynamic leader, and Dr. Oz is fortunate to have her. This year’s 2015 Total Life Challenge was the first collaboration between Health Fitness Revolution and HealthCorps, and we are looking forward to a successful partnership of improving the healthy lifestyle of Americans.

In December 2011, Dr. Oz had a health and fitness challenge with Pastor Rick Warren and his church Saddleback Church, which was voted one of the Top 50 Fittest Mega-Churches in America.
