Hope Solo Fitness Profile

“My confidence comes from the daily grind… training my butt off day in and day out.”

In a highly anticipated rematch of the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team boasts an impenetrable defense thanks to the team’s back line consisting of Julie Johnston, Ali Krieger, Meghan Klingenberg, Christie Rampone and Becky Sauerbrunn. And while soccer is truly a beautiful game thanks in part by the necessity of a team dynamic, there is much to look out for in a solo player. Hope Solo that is.

Following the semifinal match where the U.S. bested Germany – the latter scoreless in the match – U.S. goalkeeper Hope Solo continued to keep opponents scoreless. In fact, Solo hasn’t concede a goal since the U.S.’s opening match against Australia in the 27th minute of the tournament.

So while we hope to see if Solo can stop Japan from this Sunday at the Women’s World Cup final, let’s shoot toward our own goals in maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle.
