Exercise Makes You Happier


Exercise is not only healthy for the body but it can also improve your mood and make you happy!

According to researchers at the University of Vermont, the mood benefits of exercise just 20 minutes can last up to 12 hours. Exercise also has the most powerful effect on our mental states when we’re in a bad mood. It also has been seen that people who are physically active are happier and more satisfied with their lives – this is due to the fact that while exercising our bodies release hormones like endorphins and other chemicals that make us feel good.  Exercising also helps reduce levels of stress hormones which are proven to be an effective and good treatment for depression and anxiety.

You should use a combination of cardio and strength training. Strength training has also been show to reduce depression and anxiety and has also been show to improve self-esteem. Yoga and tai chi are a good thing to mix into your routine because it’ll help your body relieve stress and relaxes the mind.
