New York Mayor Bill de Blasio challenged to do #PushUpsEverywhere

Recently, newly elected Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner joined the #PushUpsEverywhere campaign in an effort to raise obesity awareness in his city. Mr. Turner easily did his 10 push-ups, then challenging the Mayor of New York City, Bill De Blasio, to do 10 #PushUpsEverywhere to promote health in their cities as well. Mayor Turner also said if de Blasio completed his, he would do 20 more!

Known for enjoying his workouts, Mayor de Blasio was even quoted by the NYTimes saying both him and his wife workout regularly “Chirlane and I have increasingly come to the realization that the more tired you feel, the more you have to go to the gym,” Mr. de Blasio said of his wife, Chirlane McCray, also a Y member.

#PushUpsEverywhere is a campaign launched by Health Fitness Revolution to push America to become a fitter nation. The challenge consists of filming yourself or someone doing 10 push-ups, uploading to Facebook, Twitter or Youtube, challenging two of your friends and tagging #PushUpsEverywhere.
