As the head basketball coach at the University of Delaware and a member of the coaching staff at Notre Dame, Martin E. Ingelsby‘s accomplishments and leadership have left a lasting impact on collegiate basketball and now on the President’s Council.

Coaching Success at the University of Delaware: Martin Ingelsby has led the University of Delaware’s basketball program for seven seasons, culminating in the team’s victory at the 2022 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Basketball Tournament and their return to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournament after an eight-year absence. Under Ingelsby’s guidance, the Blue Hens achieved remarkable success, showcasing his coaching acumen and ability to lead a team to significant accomplishments.

Notable Career at the University of Notre Dame: Prior to his coaching tenure at the University of Delaware, Martin Ingelsby had a successful playing career and coaching experience at the University of Notre Dame. As a player, Ingelsby was a captain and a three-year starter for the Notre Dame men’s basketball team from 1997 to 2001. Following his graduation, he spent 13 years on the coaching staff, contributing to the team’s eight NCAA Tournament appearances and consecutive Elite Eight runs in 2015 and 2016.
