Houston Rockets and NBA Legend Rudy T was inducted into the Houston Hall of Fame on January 21st, 2020, a well-deserved honor after decades of contribution to the Houston community- first as a player and then as a two-time world championship-winning coach.

HFR founder and Rudy’s good friend, Samir Becic attended the ceremony and caught up with Tomjanovich and several other honorees and sports legends:

Samir says of George Foreman: “For me, former boxing world champion George Foreman is one of my favorite boxers of all time. He has a gracious presence and is truly a man of honor!”

Samir also met track legend Carl Lewis: “Growing up watching Carl Lewis win all the time inspired me to strive for greatness. In my opinion, besides being one of the most decorated athletes, he is also one of the fittest to ever live!”

Samir was particularly proud of his dear friend Rudy Tomjanovich: “My Balkan brother, my friend, and mentor. He is a gentleman with the heart of a champion. He’s also a coach extraordinaire! But above all, he is a person who wishes greatness for humanity. If anybody deserves to be in the NBA Hall of Fame, it’s Rudy T!”
